Whitley Strieber's new book will become a movie

In Daily Variety, Pamela McClintock reports that Michael Bay, who just finished directing "Transformers" will team up with producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, who will write the script of 2012, which will be published by Tor Books in September. No release date has been set for the movie.
