In this world you got two kinds of people: Ones that CAN carry 1,000 pnd swords and the ones that can't. Since we no longer live in a world with GIANTS, I think this sword is really, really old...and according to the article, really, really stolen. I wonder why...
Regarding the Stone spheres, are they related to the ones found in COSTA RICA?

According to what I found, most of the balls in Costa Rica are made of a hard, volcanic stone called granodiorite, though a few are composed of coquina, a type of limestone. Off hand, I don't think they are related.
Side note to my other comment: I liked your reference to "giants" from the past! Pure imagination or something else?
Hello Rich,
I know the materials used to make these spheres are different, but it is the ideology that gets me. Why make them? Why a cross-cultural similarity? I mean, who woke up one ancient morning and said, "Ya know...I think I'll make a GIANT ball!"
I have a very strong curiosity for GIANTS.
Hi Tina, yup, I kinda figured you meant idealogy and should have been more clearer in my comment...I write these usually while at work when I can...haha. I don't know whether you or anyone has seen this site or how relilable it is but maybe take a look: http://s8int.com/giants1.html
In addition, not to discount the Bible (also mentioned on this site regarding GIANTS, etc), but there are times I feel it is mostly all stories and then there are times where I think there may be something to it all. Me personally, I tend to be able to believe that there were (and still are???) GIANTS in existence going along with the Bible, the site I mentioned above (reliable though??), etc. Again, "believe" being the keyword.
