Statistically speaking we can't all be nuts. True. On the other hand, unfortunately, there is enough room for people telling lies, embellishing stories, misinterpreting natural occurences, etc, etc that when you add them all together it becomes a great mess at worst or at best a bunch of similar stories of which it is hard to actually know what is really going on. I hope this all isn't some great cosmic joke because it certainly is not a good one. This is a sad, inescapable truth at present for all of us (all feeling and thinking creatures). Hey, but the world is good...good for who?....you?...how about the cattle getting slaughtered for food or the guy or girl wasting away a horrible death with cancer? Guess it isn't really so good unless you fall back on "faith." I'd rather fall back on the truth...that sad, inescapable truth. That is all we have besides a bunch of stories, similar or not, truth or not, of which we don't know what to make of it all.
